While Kenya is an adventure, other friends and family are heading off in the near future on their own quests. I'd just like to acknowledge them too, as like me, they prepare for the 'off'.
I've just had coffee with good friend from Reynolds, librarian Karen Lindsay. Karen has recently 'retired' from Reynolds, but is off on a 2 year contract with the American Cooperative School in Tunis (www.acst.net) You go girl! Best wishes.
While we will both be in Africa, distance will probably preclude meeting up, but you never know!
And then there is the 'Silas Crosby'. This is the 36ft steel, twin keeled sailboat co-owned by my brothers in law, Steve and John Millar. Along with our daughter Meredith they will set sail from this coast in Sept, and with stops in Mexico, the Galapagos, and French Polynesia, hope to be in the Chilean archipelago in Apr/May 2011. So, hats off to all adventurers, best wishes and fair winds to us all.
And thanks to those we leave behind, for the love and support we carry with us.
Next post will be from Kenya!
cheers
HL
